What’s Worth The Prize Is Always Worth The Fight
Since the start of the 40 Day Biggest Loser Challenge on January 12th, many hard-working, committed members of Core Dynamics have made sacrifices and worked their tails off for a chance to win the competition and change their lives. Top prize is a brand new 24-speed specialized mountain bike; we’re also awarding memberships, massage, and Core Cash to spend at Core Dynamics.
It’s been very exciting and gratifying for all of us at Core to witness the slow but steady transformation of so many committed members and challenge participants. For me, commitment is what it’s all about. Over the years, I’ve seen hundreds and hundreds of clients and members come and go. Many radically change their lives and commit to permanent lifestyle changes. Some make dramatic changes, only to fall back into their old habits and return to where they would much rather not be. That is always hard to see , but unfortunately it happens all too often.
It can take months–sometimes years– to get to the point where the positive changes that we make during this month take firm root and become an intrinsic part of who we are. Motivation to make these changes can come from many different sources. A major event such as a wedding. A big birthday. A vacation. Sometimes it comes in the form of a challenge like the 40 Day Biggest Loser Challenge, for example. My staff and I devise these challenges because we understand that even the most goal-driven people sometimes need a gentle push to get moving in the right direction.
I’d like to congratulate all of you who signed up for the challenge and began or continued your journey to health and fitness and even, for those of you who are so inclined, some weight loss. Winning isn’t everything, especially in this game. Steadfast commitment to the goal you set and to an organized, structured plan that will get you there is what really matters. If you did this then you’re likely to have made considerable progress.
I can say with confidence that most (if not all) of you who struggled to reach the goal you set for yourselves over forty days ago know exactly what it was that has held you back from the lack of restraint in your diet to the irregular frequency and/or intensity of your training. In most cases, it’s a bit of both.
Those who stuck with the plan were likely to experience substantial positive changes in body and mind.
When you begin to experience the positive effects of a healthy, fit lifestyle, it becomes hard to give up. The 40 Day Biggest Loser Challenge is just one of the ways we at Core Dynamics keep our members focused on setting goals and developing progressive training programs to stay on track.
Please feel free to talk to me or one of the Core coaches about how we can help you set realistic fitness and healthy eating goals. You’ll benefit from our personal custom-designed approach that’s guaranteed to place your objectives within reach.
In the next few days, we’ll learn who made the ultimate commitment to change, and took the title of 40 Day Biggest Loser Challenge Winner! We’ll get to know more about the leaders of the challenge, and how they made such impressive progress by meeting our challenge to challenge themselves.
I applaud each and every one of you who stayed the course. Even if you didn’t achieve total success–yet!–I’m sure you’ve come away with a better sense of what it takes to set a goal and stick with it.
Strength For Life.
